Abstract

The toxic effects of myofer on the organs of fish and development of oocytes and embryos were investigated. The results indicate that myofer delays the embryonic development, cause changes in the cytoplasmic membrane of the cells and limits the microvilin the cells of the platipoecilus maculatus, and at the higher doses results death in the animal.
The disturbances in the development of embryos are probably due to the inhibitory effects of rnyofer on the activity of iron - bound proteins such as apoferritin, hemos derin, B1 and i globulin, causing interference with iron metabolism.
